Weiden and Kennedy

I'm trying to do some work at the moment for a space themed event which reminded me of Weiden and Kennedy's website http://www.wk.com/.I remember seeing the website last year and being really impressed, I don't really like the timeline I think it looks a bit messy and cluttered but what I really like is the constellations in the background and the interaction. 

Minologue - hitchhikers choice

After seeing this video last year I was really impressed at how an idea so simple could work so well. The drawing style is really inspired me to try drawing some of my own illustrations which I used for one of my projects last year.

Recently carphone warehouse have released a new campaign using minilogue - hitchhikers choice which I think suits a lot of the hand drawn style adverts at the moment eg. Nokia

Below is the New Nokia ad with a similar illustrative style. The colours and the playfulness remind me of the sony rabbit ads.I like the disneyesq music in this ad.

Koyaanisqatsi

This is another video that plays with speed and amazing music. It is a film from 1982 directed by  Godfrey Reggio and music by Philip Glass and art direction from Ron Fricke. As part of a trilogy this film investigates the relationship between humans, nature and technology. The word Koyaanisqatsi,in the Hopi language means 'crazy life, life in turmoil, life out of balance, life disintegrating, a state of life that calls for another way of living.
